Parent Teacher Conferences - Monday, November 3, 2025

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be scheduled for Monday, November 3, 2025, from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. School is not in session to afford parents the opportunity to meet with teachers. Below is the schedule for conferences at the schools within the district. We hope you will plan to meet with us to discuss your child’s success and the continuation of an enjoyable and profitable school experience.

Secondary

Parents are encouraged to come to Valley Junior Senior High School between the hours of 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. as their schedule permits them to meet with teachers. Please call Valley Junior Senior High school (724-337-4536) for additional information.
NWCTC Open House

NWCTC Open House - Thursday, November 6, 2025

The Northern Westmoreland Career and Technology Center (NWCTC) invites you to their Open House on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. This event is designed for students and parents who want to discover rewarding career paths and real-world skills.

NKASD General School Board Meeting - Rescheduled to Wednesday, November 12, 2025

The General School Board Meeting of the New Kensington-Arnold School District that was scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025 has been rescheduled to Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at VJSHS, 703 Stevenson Boulevard, and also virtually via Microsoft Teams. Information for joining the virtual meeting will be available on the NKASD Website the day of the meeting. This meeting is open to the public.

2026 NKASD Distinguished Alumni Award Nominations

The New Kensington-Arnold School District is seeking nominations for its Distinguished Alumni Award for the class of 2026. Appropriately nominated alumni will represent the best of the communities of Arnold and New
Kensington. They are role models for our students to look up to and a source of great pride for the school district. Consideration will be given to candidates that have made outstanding contributions in, but not limited to, the areas of athletics, business, education, journalism, law, manufacturing, medicine, performing arts, public service, science, and the trades.
