NKASD Education Committee Meeting - Tuesday, April 22, 2025
The New Kensington-Arnold School Board will have an Education Committee Meeting on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at VJSHS, 703 Stevenson Boulevard, New Kensington, and also virtually via Microsoft Teams. Kennywood Tickets Available at The Administration Building
A limited number of Kennywood Tickets are available for sale at the Administration Building. Tickets are $40 each, and are cash only. These tickets are valid through Sunday, September 7, 2025. You must schedule an appointment to purchase tickets by calling Tracy Fleeger at 724-335-4401 ext. 1064, or by email at [email protected].
Kennywood School Picnic - Saturday, May 31, 2025
The New Kensington-Arnold School District Kennywood School Picnic Day is May 31, 2025.
If you plan on attending the day of the picnic, tickets are $31.99, and must be purchased online before May 16th. Price increases to $35.99 after May 16th.
If you aren't sure if you can make it to Kennywood on May 31st, there is a second ticket option. Tickets are $37.99, and they are valid through July 13th. Good any day tickets are only available to purchase online until June 30th.

National Science Teaching Association Celebrates Its 2025 Teacher Awards Honorees
The National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) salutes the recipients of its 2025 NSTA Awards program, which honors K–12 teachers, principals, professors, and other science education professionals for their outstanding work and achievement in science education. Awardees were recognized during a special evening Teacher Awards event during the NSTA National Conference on Science Education in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on March 28, 2025.
Kathy Jo Sagwitz was the Grand-Prize Winner (High School Level) of the Shell Science Lab Regional Challenge, sponsored by Shell USA, Inc., outfitted by Carolina Biological Supply Company.
