The Reorganization Meeting of the New Kensington-Arnold School District will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at VJSHS, 703 Stevenson Boulevard, and also virtually via Microsoft Teams. Information for joining the virtual meeting will be available on the NKASD Website the day of the meeting. This meeting is open to the public.

The General School Board Meeting of the New Kensington-Arnold School District that was originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 10, 2024 has been moved to Wednesday, December 4, 2024 immediately following the School Board Reorganization Meeting. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at VJSHS, 703 Stevenson Boulevard, and also virtually via Microsoft Teams. Information for joining the virtual meeting will be available on the NKASD Website the day of the meeting.

The New Kensington-Arnold School Board will have an Policy Committee Meeting on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at VJSHS.

The New Kensington-Arnold School Board will have a Buildings and Grounds Committee Meeting on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at VJSHS.

The meetings are open to the public. There will not be a virtual option.

The New Kensington-Arnold School Board Education Committee Meeting that was originally scheduled for Wednesday, November 20, 2024 has been moved to Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Planetarium at VJSHS, 703 Stevenson Boulevard, New Kensington, PA. The meeting is open to the public. There will not be a virtual option.

NKASD cordially invites all students and their parents/guardians to our Annual Holiday Student Family Dinner on Thursday, December 12, 2024, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the Valley Junior/Senior High School Cafeteria. The event is free!

The New Kensington-Arnold School District is seeking nominations for its Distinguished Alumni Award for the class of 2025. Appropriately nominated alumni will represent the best of the communities of Arnold and New Kensington. They are role models for our students to look up to and a source of great pride for the school district. Consideration will be given to candidates that have made outstanding contributions in, but not limited to, the areas of athletics, business, education, journalism, law, manufacturing, medicine, performing arts, public service, science, and the trades. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be scheduled for Monday, November 4, 2024, from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. School is not in session to afford parents the opportunity to meet with teachers. Below is the schedule for conferences at the schools within the district. We hope you will plan to meet with us to discuss your child’s success and the continuation of an enjoyable and profitable school experience.

Parents are encouraged to come to Valley Junior Senior High School between the hours of 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. as their schedule permits them to meet with teachers. Please call Valley Junior Senior High school (724-337-4536) for additional information.

If you are using a school portrait from Lifetouch instead of turning in your own (Picture Day is October 16th), send a message to Mr. Fry.
